Providence Cotton Mill Wedding

Cierra and Ehvann were married on March 13, 2022 at the Providence Cotton Mill in Maiden, North Carolina. This 130 year old, two story building features “a soaring 30 ft. tall ceiling, allowing sunlight to stream in through the arched, open windows,” which is pretty heavenly for a photographer. I loved combing through the various spots where I could capture Cierra and Ehvann, their party and the key moments of their day. And it was a beautiful day!

The Setting

I love the natural light and all the windows of this venue. The exposed brick provides texture and an interesting backdrop. There is also a field behind the venue that is stunning for sunset photos, as well as a cool door out front featuring a greenery wall. The monochromatic settings, natural light, native and designed textures and historical elements are greater than the sum of their parts. Add a gorgeous bride and groom and you’ve set the table for an epic wedding. I am proud to share that a photo from this wedding was featured on the Top Pics of the Month for March 2022 on Photobug Community.

The Couple

Cierra and Ehvann met during college and were always cordial when they saw each other, but it wasn’t until her younger sister began attending that Cierra saw another side to Ehvann. While Cierra had already graduated, her little sister needed a big brother and Ehvann stepped in to watch over her and make sure she had a friend. Cierra: “seeing how good he was to my sister definitely made him much more appealing to me, and of course he was incredibly handsome. Once we started dating and really getting to know each other, it was easy to fall in love with him.”

I just love these two in images … their energy for and attention to each other … and how amazing they look together. It’s clear that they are in love and excited about what the future will hold.

Preparation

Ehvann and his gorgeous green suit, along with his groomsmen, looked pretty dashing! Cierra, along with her mom and sister, also took advantage of the space at Providence Cotton Mill to get ready for the ceremony, dress the bride and share some private moments. Cierra’s gown was incredible and, to guild the lily, there was a sheer overlay cape, to cover her during their vows. This gown wasn’t just wedding perfect, it was fashion!

Cierra: “The venue was so pretty, and we didn't want to take away from that. I just wanted greenery everywhere to complement the space. I'm so glad that we agreed on the vision, and Ehvann went all out with his custom green suit. All we cared about was a beautiful venue, good food and drinks, good music, and good people - after that, we knew everything would come together organically.”

The Ceremony

The Party & the Details

Beyond the sweet first dances with parents and each other, the cake cutting, and dancing throughout the night, these two just soaked up their day. The decor was on theme and so simply elegant and every single detail was curated beautifully. I could see how happy they were. I just adored working with these two at this fabulous venue.

Long after the last toast, kiss and high-five, Cierra and Ehvann left for their new life with a sparkler send-off. Congratulations!!
